Krisanne Johnson has been photographing weddings and families for the past 10 years. She graduated with a degree in journalism from the University of Colorado and pursued postgraduate work in visual communications at Ohio University. Her documentary work has been recognized by World Press Photo and Pictures of the Year International. Her long term work in Africa documenting young women coming of age amid the HIV/AIDS epidemic has received a Getty Images Grant for Editorial Photography, the W. Eugene Smith Grant in Humanistic Photography and support from the Magnum Foundation Emergency Fund. Her editorial clients include The New Yorker, TIME, US News & World Report, The Wall Street Journal, The Fader, and The New York Times.
